Dad was a family first guy and always willing to help. Great at always giving his advice, was never shy on his opinion, and always had your best interest at heart. Dad played all sports in his younger years but excelled at hockey, baseball and basketball. As he got older he really enjoyed golf. But Dad was most proud watching his grandchildren participate in their sports from hockey to football and lacrosse to field hockey.
Dad was a proud union member of I.L.A LOCAL 273 and took great pride in his work. He really enjoyed working with his father and brother on the docks as well as all brother members. Dad was a very active member of the local. He was a business agent and served on many boards and committees over his working career and helped negotiate many contracts. He received the Johnny Longshoreman award for bravery.
We would like to thank the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care during Dad's stay. A special thanks to the dialysis team who were a great support over the past few years.
