Frederick Harry Kirkpatrick

It is with heavy hearts and appreciation for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Frederick Harry Kirkpatrick, which occurred on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Malcom and Helen (Dorion) Kirkpatrick.

Fred was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a jack of all trades and was able to fix anything, often times being called “Mr. Fix It”. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and above all else, he loved his family.

Fred will be missed by his loving wife, Shirley Kirkpatrick; sons Rick (Brenda), Randy (Kim) and Troy (Lori); daughter Bonnie (Randy); brothers Malcom (Ninie), Kenny (Diane) and Rick (Marg); sisters Paulette (Bill) and Nancy (Gary); grandchildren Courtney, Jenna, Ben, Sam, Shaylee, Travis, Mitchell, Katie, Sarah and Spencer; great-grandchildren Harmony and Hudson as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Bobby’s Hospice for their outstanding care of Frederick during his time there.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). A celebration of life will be held at River Valley Wesleyan Church on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 6:30 PM. Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
