Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
With deep love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Florence Lorraine “Bunny” (nee. Colwell) Cormier on September 7, 2025, at Loch Lomond Village, at the age of 86.
Born on Easter Sunday, April 28, 1939, Bunny was given a nickname that perfectly captured her gentle, joyful nature. Throughout her life, she remained a source of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love to everyone around her.
Bunny was the heart and soul of her family — a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love was the thread that held generations together. Her home was a place of welcome and peace, where laughter filled the rooms, meals were shared with gratitude, and stories were passed lovingly from one generation to the next.
One of Bunny’s greatest joys was hosting Sunday dinners, where family would gather around her table week after week. These meals were more than food — they were tradition, connection, and a reflection of the love she poured into everything she did.
She is survived by her loving children: Sandy (Art) Boudreau, Bruce (Bonnie) Cormier, and Candace (Jamie) McCavour; cherished grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Zack, Jamie-Lynn, and Chelsea; 11 beloved great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy; sister-in-law and best friend Marg Logue, who will celebrate her one hundredth birthday this November; as well as several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Bunny was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Bill Cormier; her companion Raymond Chaisson; parents Stan and Ruby (nee. Paxton) Colwell; brother Mike Colwell; and sister-in-law Jean Colwell.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Loch Lomond Village for the excellent care and compassion shown to Bunny during her time there.
Though our hearts are broken, we are so grateful for the years we were blessed to share with her.
Rest peacefully, Bunny. Your love will continue to guide us — always.
