Dennis Patrick Kemp

It is with broken hearts that the family of Dennis Patrick Kemp, husband of the late Deborah (Farnham) Kemp, announces his passing on July 18, 2025, in Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on April 24, 1945, he was the son of the late Gregory and Annie (Ferrie) Kemp.

Dennis worked for the Saint John Fire Department for many years and spent time at a number of different stations. Most recently in retirement, Dennis spent his time with his grandchildren and puttering around in his garage. If you couldn’t find him in the garage, he was likely across the street at the frog pond feeding the ducks (Treadwell Lake).

Dennis is survived by his son Patrick Kemp, grandchildren Declan Kemp, Lily Kemp and Xavier Thibodeau, as well as siblings John (Paula) Kemp and Julie Kemp. Besides his wife Deborah, Dennis was predeceased by his daughter Kimberly Kemp.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506) 646-2424. A graveside service will take place on July 31st, 2025 at 11:00am at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
