David Ronald Mitchell

It is with deep sorrow that the family of David Ronald Mitchell announces his unexpected passing on July 29, 2025, at the age of 55. Born in Saint John, NB on August 8, 1969, he was a son of the late Malcolm and Ida Mae Marie (nee. McCain, Mitchell) Cormier.

He is survived by his children Ashley (Deven) and Brandyn; brother Robert (Cheryl); sisters Susan (John) and Cathy (Wayne); grandchildren Ethan and Riley; girlfriend Laura; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother Kevin.

David was a laid back and easy-going man. He loved horses and developed a passion for horse racing. This then led David to owning his own horse, Jacob, who was the top performing horse in North America winning 90 races in his career. David was also an avid hockey fan cheering for his favourite team the Edmonton Oilers. Being a huge fan, he never missed a game.

David worked as a sheet metal worker for JE Wilson Roofing Ventilation Company Ltd. for the past 4 years.

In respecting David’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private family graveside to take place.
