David Campbell Obituary

With hearts full of sorrow, love and faith, the family announces the passing of their dear husband, father, and grandfather David S Campbell of Saint John, NB who peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, with his family by his side, on September 4, 2025. He was born on May 13, 1941, in Saint John, NB. He was the son of the late Carl and Ada (Capson) Campbell.

David is survived by his dear wife of 62 years Mary (Johnson) Campbell; his children Patti Campbell, Saint John, NB, Pamela Campbell Saint John NB, Mark and Colleen (Sooley) Campbell of Moncton, NB; brother-in-law Carl Johnson; grandchildren Zach Campbell of Saint John, NB Rebecca Dayalan (Joyson) of Bangalore India, M Andrew (Sarah) Campbell of Kaslo BC, Katie Dee (Seth) of Bangor, Maine and five great grandsons.

Before he went to the Shannex, David was taken care of at home by his daughter Patti. The family would like a special thank you to Sally, Hannah, Maribel and all of the special workers that took care of him at Shannex-Tucker Hall and made his last few years happy ones. We are forever grateful.

David spent most of his life either at church, with his family or work. He was the Manager of the fire, safety, and security at Saint John Regional Hospital and the surrounding hospitals, until his retirement in October 2006. He loved walking in the woods with his dog.

Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his son Timothy Campbell and daughter-in-law Maureen Campbell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
