Dale Frances MacCoubrey

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Frances Maccoubrey, 72, of Quispamsis,
NB. Born on January 30th 1952 in Halifax, NS. Dale passed away peacefully June 21, 2024 at the Saint
John Regional Hospital after a 30-year battle against multiple sclerosis. 
Dale grew up in Riverview, N.B. with her mother (Frances), Father (David), 3 sisters (Beth, Stephanie,
Patricia) and 3 brothers (Mike, Greg, Peter). Dale graduated from UNB Fredericton and became a
teacher, eventually changing careers to become a Land Title Researcher. She retired in 2005. Dale was
also the first female town councilor elected in Sussex, NB.
Dale was smart, strong and witty. She loved reading, politics, trivial pursuit, S.N.L, Kids in the Hall,
Jeopardy and listening to music from the seventies. She loved going for walks in Irving Nature Park and
watching her children play hockey, baseball and Jennifer’s cheerleading competitions. 
Dale is survived by her four children: Jennifer (Adam) Justin, Luke (Becky) and Thomas (Tracy). Dale was
predeceased by her son Timothy. Dale was also blessed with 10 beautiful grandkids; Charlie, Aubrey,
Kenzie, Paige, Callan, Timothy, Walter, Quentin, Lyla, and Noel.
Dale had a long and hard battle with M.S., but she was always determined to not accept defeat. She
used each day to beat back the attacks of her disease. She will be forever missed by all of us. She will live
on in our stories, memories and our love for our kids. 
She was deeply loved and will be missed greatly. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the M.S.
Society of Canada or to the Easter Seals of New Brunswick. The family would like to extend our heartfelt
thanks to the staff of Embassy Hall in Quispamsis, the Nurses and staff at the SJRH Palliative care and Dr.
Mackin for all of their support and care
