Constance Doreen Morrison

It is with broken hearts the family announce the death of Connie Morrison of Saint John, who passed away surrounded by her family at the Loch Lomond Village on Friday April 5, 2019. Born in Saint John on April 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edward Cade and Bertha (MacPherson) Belmont. In her earlier years Connie worked for NB Tel as a Telephone operator, later retiring to raise and care for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nanny and friend and enjoyed gardening and Bridge card club. Connie had a great sense of humour and a love for animals, those who knew and loved her will miss her forever. Surviving are her husband of 57 years John “Mickey” Morrison of Saint John, sons Wayne of Truro, NS and Michael (Joanna) of Quispamsis; daughter Kelly Douglas of Saint John; precious grandchildren Brittany, Brandon, Liam, Jack and Matthew; great-granddaughter Savannah; several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Connie was predeceased by her first husband Vernon Thomas; baby daughter Susan Starr Morrison; brother James Belmont and sisters Shirley Kingston and Florence Belmont.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday April 9th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery on Wednesday April 10th at 11:00 a.m. Funeral procession will be leaving the Fundy Funeral Home at 10:50 a.m. Donation’s in Connie’s memory can be made to Redhead Strays- “Helping stray cats strut” C/O Dianne Fox, 15 Stillview Court, Saint John, NB E2P 1A5, redheadstrays@gmail.com or to the Children’s Wish Foundation .
