Cindy Lee Bastarache

It is with broken hearts the family of Cindy Lee Bastarache announce her death which occurred on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on January 25, 1972, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Jeannette (Sivret) Bastarache.

Cindy was very strong willed and a spiritual person who cherished her family and friends more than anything.  She loved working on crafts that became special gifts to her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and listening to music. Cindy was faithful to the monthly Cancer Mass at the Cathedral.

She loved her job at Tipsy Tomato, they treated her like family. They supported her during her time of illness.

Cindy will be deeply missed by her brothers David, Wayne (Jill), Bryant (Winnie), Kevin (Carol), Darrell (Tina); sisters Deborah Rowe, Linda Pynn (Gerry), Sharon Gass (Sean), along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Thomas and Maceliene Sivret, Anthony and Catherine Bastarache brothers-in-law David Rowe and David Pynn, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), on Thursday, July 14, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 – 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 15, 2022 at 12:10 p.m. from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, who have cared for our sister throughout her sickness. A special thanks to Dr. Chiu, Dr. Groom, Dr. Acker, Dr. Hemmings, Dr. Chris O’Brien, to the extra mural nurses, Andrea Tilley (physiotherapist), and all of the nurses and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital. We also thank Father McNeill, who journeyed with Cindy and offered her comfort and peace over the last few months.

The family would like to acknowledge Bobby’s Hospice for their kindness and compassion given to our sister and our entire family in her final days.
