Carl Edward Richard

Carl Edward Richard passed peacefully on November 8th, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Saint John on September 19th, 1962, the son of Mabel Burnside and William Richard.

As a young man, Carl worked as a Red-seal Insulator and then became an independent delivery man for Brunswick News. He retired in December of 2021 and spent his days listening to music, working in his yard, and spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Lauren.

He was an avid dart player for many years as-well as a long-time member of Branch 69 Legion. Carl also enjoyed watching sports and was a diehard Habs and Blue Jays fan.

He is survived by his wife Paulette Richard (Guimond), daughter Lauren Richard, mother Mabel Richard (Burnside), brothers Paul, Tommy (Carla), Stanley (Rose), sisters Marilyn (Aldege), Theresa (Chuck), Mary (Ted), Denise (Jeff), brother-in-law Alvin (Barb) Guimond, sister-in-law Monique Guimond, Claire Guimond, Denise Guimond, and lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews whom he treasured dearly.

He is predeceased by his father William Richard and two brothers Joe and Kenny Richard.

There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, from 3pm - 5pm at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2425).
