With broken hearts, the family of “Bonny” Edith Frances (Boyer) Craig announces her passing on Monday, December 12th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Saint John, NB, on September 17, 1952, to the late Dorothy Boyer.
Bonny graduated from Milledgeville North High School in 1971 and began working in various industries, including the Bricklin Auto Plant. Afterwards, she chose to be a loving stay at home mom to her 4 children and returned to the workforce at WorkSafe NB for 9 years until her retirement in 2017.
She became a wonderful devoted mother when her first daughter Dawn was born. Bonny volunteered as a Leader for Morna Heights Girl Guides. She was an avid hockey mom for her sons Chad and Ryan, never missing a game. She volunteered at her children’s school and helped prepare hot lunches after her son Ryan started kindergarten. Bonny was always ready for a new adventure with her daughter Shawna, finding old abandoned towns and houses to explore. She loved to travel and made several trips to Alberta and the Rocky Mountains to visit family. She also loved the ocean, lighthouses and scouring the beaches for shells and other washed-up treasures. Bonny and her good friend, Brenda Spencer, had many adventures and would go on excursions by land or ferry to find different places of interest. One day they even managed to climb Mount Champlain. Bonny was the secretary/treasurer for the KBM Community Center for several years. Raising 4 beautiful children was her greatest pride and love, as was the 7 amazing grandchildren they gifted her with. Bonny loved her family and close friends. She loved to laugh and was always everyone’s favorite person to have around.
Bonny is survived by her husband Daniel Craig, her children Dawn (Robert) Ferron, Shawna (Craig) MacDonald, Chad Craig, Ryan (Aaron) Craig, her 7 grandchildren, Brian Boyer, Bradley (Alisha) Boyer, Athena Ferron, Megan MacDonald, Rachel Craig, Hayden and Parker Craig. Her siblings Richard (Doreen) Boyer, Margaret Boyer, David (Maggie) Boyer, Paul (Linda) Hannah, Dianne Boyer (Stephen Dodd), and Wayne (Tina) Boyer. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bonny’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for her exceptional care.
