"Bette" Murchison Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of 'Bette' Doreen Elizabeth Murchison, loving wife to the late Robert Murchison, wish to announce her passing which occurred on February 19, 2024, at her residence, the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Perth Andover, NB, February 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Burgess and Amalie Theresa (Eckebrecht) Smith.
She was a secretary with the Saint John Port Authority during her working life. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Simonds Lions Seniors.
She is survived by her son Barrie (Nancy), her daughter Donna Murchison, grandson Anthony, great-granddaughter Madison, great-great grandson Colton, along with her friends and extended family.
Besides her husband Robert, and parents Burgess and Amalie Smith, she was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Constance and Robert Tremblay.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), with visitation from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, on Monday, February 26, 2024. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, with interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Parish of Kingston, the SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
