Belinda Marie McQuade

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Belinda Marie McQuade announces her sudden passing on December 20, 2024, at the age of 60. Born in Saint John, NB, on December 18, 1964, she is a daughter of Milton James and Colleen Mary Joan (nee. Burke) McQuade.

Belinda worked for Hickey Brothers as the Accounting Administrator for years and was a very valued employee there who they treated with the utmost kindness and respect. She dedicated half of her life to raising her children as a single parent, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience. She later found love and companionship with her partner, Timothy Ford, who brought joy to her life. Belinda had a love of trail riding with her snowmobile, was a sharp-shooting champion in her local pool league, and had a fond interest in curling. She will be remembered for the dedication she gave to her family and friends, the silly ways she would goof around with loved ones and pets. “Bee” will be remembered for the meaningful moments she forged by appreciating stillness and simplicity, and for the laughter she brought when inspiring joy to those around her. 

Belinda is survived by her partner Tim Ford; son Devin James-Milton Wolters; daughter Nicole Lynie-Marie Wolters; Tim’s children Troy Ford, Clayton Ford, and Tara Seveck; mother Colleen Mary Joan McQuade; sisters Maureen (David) Small and Christine (Eldon) Briggs; brother-in-law Martin Holland; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Milton James McQuade; sister Susan Holland; and brother Darrell, and his wife Tracey McQuade.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 4, at 3PM in the Fundy Chapel, followed by a time of fellowship at the Fundy Reception Centre. Donations in Belinda’s memory can be made to the SPCA Animal Rescue League, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
