Arthur Sterling Goddard

It is with sadness, but appreciation for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Arthur Sterling Goddard, which occurred on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Loch Lomond Villa – Birch House. Born on December 10, 1927, in Sussex, NB, he was the son of the late Welton and Birdie (Smith) Goddard.

Arthur is survived by his granddaughter Krista Webb (Mike); great-grandchildren Isabelle and Nicholas Webb; special friends Alfred and Lily Lebeau as well as several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his wife Sheila (Powell) Goddard; daughter Judith Craft and son-in-law Melbourne Craft; sisters Beulah Forsythe, Margaret Dunfield, Mary Shea, Laura Bradley, Vivian Williamson and Jean Buchanon; brother Charles Goddard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa - Birch House for their compassion and care of Arthur during his time there.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at 12:15 PM. For those who wish, donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
