Remembered for his love and his attentiveness, Adrien Pius Ouellette leaves behind a legacy of love and joy. He was a loving husband of 69 years to Marie Anne (Lanteigne), a devoted father, beloved brother and cherished grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the comfort of his home at the age of 94.
Born in Drummond, New Brunswick, Adrien moved to Quebec with his wife, Marie, in 1964, where he dedicated his career to Reynolds. After retiring, they relocated to Saint John to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Adrien was deeply proud of his family, and his life was full of love and pride for them. A great listener, he took care to always look his best and made sure his presence was known in the most thoughtful ways.
Adrien had a passion for travel and enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Baie-Comeau, Quebec. He loved snowmobiling and cherished his time as a snowbird in Florida. Gardening was another of his joys, and he took great pride in growing vegetables, especially potatoes. When health challenges prevented him from tending to the garden, his son Terry stepped in, always under Adrien’s watchful guidance as he shared where and how each vegetable should be planted.
He was also a proud member of the 3rd Degree Council 6766.
Adrien will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marie; son Terry Ouellette; daughter Darlene Kincade (Mark); brothers Gill Ouellette (Roland), Donald Ouellette, Clyde Ouellette (Lillian), Roger Ouellette (Monnette); sisters Lorraine Poitres, Edwena Dupere, Francoise (Roland); brother-in-law Bertin; grandchildren Natasha Kincade, Ryan Kincade (Abby); great-granddaughter Amelia; and his favourite canine companion Ginger.
He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Rose; son Eugene; infant sister Jacinthe; brothers Leonard, Fidele, Lucien; sister Giselle; brothers-in-law Gerald Dupere, and Gilbert Poitres.
Adrien’s memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Abbas Mokhtari, Adrien's family doctor, and the Extra Mural Program for their compassionate care.
