Welcome to the memorial page for

John "Jack" Lewis Walton

July 15, 1936 ~ October 6, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of John “Jack” Walton, which occurred October 6, 2017 at the Loch Lomond Village after a lengthy illness.

Jack is survived by his son Stephen (Lori), two daughters; Jacklyn Green and Amie (Kerry) Fudge, seven grandchildren; Sarah and Katie Green, Sean Walton and Shala, Adam Higgins, and Callie and Regan Boyles, brothers; Phonse, Bobby, Pat and Harold, sister Fay and sister-in-law Marie Foley.

Along with his wife Patsy, Jack was predeceased by his son-in-law, Stephen Green, his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Jack worked as a longshoreman since 1955 and greatly enjoyed working at the Port of Saint John.  He was well known for telling his stories of working there with his brothers.  He was an excellent pool player and really enjoyed all types of card games, especially cheating at Crazy 8’s with his grandkids.  Jack’s greatest joy in life was when he became a grandfather.  He doted on his grandchildren, loved everything about them and spending time with them was actually his hobby.  Even through his final years, when his health was failing, Jack was still always happy to see his family visit and never stopped telling really bad jokes.  He will be deeply missed.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Jack’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.  Memorial donations in Jack’s memory made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
