Dear family and Loved ones of Edie- (everybody:) )
All Edie met were treated as family!
Our fond memories and gratitude for Edie and Bob go back to 1984 when we first moved to the Peninsula and they lovingly and graciously welcomed us as newcomers- new bunny owners, new horse-keepers for Catons, and new neighbours.
Edie was/is the kindest soul(at home now with her Lord)- she loved her Savior, embraced everybody and warmly entertained all into her cosy home- we knew we were met with loving kindness whenever we called or visited her/ her and Bob.
Bud and Helen had the pleasure of driving Edie to church every Sunday; then Helen, as 'the girls' attended until, one by one, they were less able.
Edie was a very faithful friend- gentle, loving, thoughtful, generous of heart..
We spoke to her recently concerning Helen being hospitalized, as Helen and Edie were 'sisters of the heart'. Helen was sad to hear she died- but glad to know she's gone 'home'- having tremendous peace, as do we, that we WILL meet her again, as that is the promise of Jesus- Who went to prepare a place for all who believe in Him.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Edie (and Bob) were a real gift of God to the Peninsuls, to those who volunteered and worked at Catons- in advise, prayers and practical help, encouragement- and bunnies.
Helen will miss her friendly calls and time together- as they were constant & current chums.
God bless you all.

It is with a heavy heart I write this message. Like so many other people, I have such fond memories of Edie. I've known Edie my entire life and I know I speak for my entire family by saying, Edie wasn't just a family friend, she was family. Having lived away for many years now, when coming home for summer, seeing Edie was always something I looked forward to do. There are too many happy moments to count where Edie has been a part of in my life, but the ones that particularly stand strong in my mind are the ones when I became a mother. When I became a mother, Edie became my advisor on anything baby related. She truly was an expert in the children field along with many others areas.
She was a wonderful, strong and caring lady who will be desperately missed by so many. Coming home will never be the same but I'll be forever grateful for her and who she was, and will hold my memories of her close to my heart always.

Dear Karen, Daryl, Marlene, Kim, Andrew and families.

Our hearts are saddened to hear of Aunt Edie's sudden passing. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will always be remembered as one who went the extra mile with great passion for God, people and animals.

I (Brian) will never forget the great memories of many summers spent with Aunt Edie and family as a teenager, I was treated as one of her own. Edie motivated me to do tasks with her famous Blueberry dumpling as my just reward - I would do anything for her. When visiting from the North two years ago, Mom I and I visited Edie and at 90, she still made me my favorite blueberry dumpling. - this meant a lot to me.

Edie will always hold a special place in our hearts , forever in our thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace in the arms of your God and Savior..

A wonderful lady and friend who I will miss with all my heart. Always loved visiting her or having long phone chats. Look forward to seeing her again in Heaven (her "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" - song) where she is no longer experiencing all the pain she braved so cheerfully while down here. My deepest condolences to her loving family. Heather Goodwin, friend from Kingston Baptist Church
