Isabel and family. My sincerest condolences on your loss of Bill. I had worked for Bill for a brief period of time at Irving Oil, however , in that time I was able to see his patience and kindness with people. He was enthusiastic about his work and was always willing to talk about family and what matters most. Rest in peace Bill.

Oh, Isabel, my heart is heavy for you. Bill & my dear dad, Peter, were cut from the same cloth - gentle men of God who loved their families ad served Christ faithfully, with minds sharp until the very end! My last memory of Bill is of chatting with him outside the Sherrard's home when he came to pick you up there after a ladies' gathering during my visit to Karen last October. I look forward to giving you a big hug and talking about dear Bill over a cup of tea when I hopefully visit next month.

Dear Isabel, I am so sorry for the sadness you are experiencing at this time at the passing of Bill. I remember, with much fondness, the times in the past when you both blessed my life so much. I praise God for enabling Bill to be such a faithful servant to Christ's kingdom here on earth. My heart is blessed as I consider how much joy he knows now--only joy with no sin, sadness, sickness or pain. May the Holy Spirit bring you much comfort today and in the days ahead. Love, Pat

I first met Bill at the Atlantic Reformed Meeting in Moncton, N.B. in 1974. Bill introduced himself and we talked at the book table for a few minutes. Bill was a good listener and a kind counselor. As we parted he handed me a booklet by J. I. Packer which changed my life and built our friendship. Soon the Burk residence became one of our Saint John stops. We became fast friends with Bill and Isabel. You knew that this was a couple who loved each other and loved the Lord. What a testimony to God's grace. The years have geographically separated us but the bond of friendship remained. We pray for Isabel and the family. May you know the presence, blessing and comfort of our Lord. How blessed we are as Christian's. We do not despair as those who have no hope. We look to Christ and we rest in His perfect and inseparable love. (Romans 8:35-39).

Isabel, Jane & family,
I am so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Of the times I met Bill, I found him to be a bright star in the Burk family - he treasured each & everyone of you. I will forever remember his gentle heart, kindness & his love for all his family. May Bill now rest in peace....he will be missed by many. Anyone who had the pleasure of Bill's friendship was truly blessed indeed. My prayers & thoughts are with all of Bill's family during these difficult days & all the days ahead. I worked with Bill for several years at Irving Oil. He was a wonderful mentor for me in IT Security. He never forgot if there was something going on in your life and always remembered to ask you how it was going. He was a good, kind, decent man, full of compassion for people. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I enjoyed the time we worked together. I am very sorry for your loss.

To Isabel and family.....

I was shocked to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind and generous man....someone who I felt lucky to call a "true friend". As a boss and co-worker at NBTel, we spent many hours discussing work issues and solving world problems. He had a wealth of knowledge which he willingly shared with others. He was a proud man and loved his family....and he will be sadly missed. Sharon and I send our sincere sympathy.

Burk family , my deep condolences to all of you. You were truly blessed to have had this man as long as you did. When I left UNB in 1973 I had the pleasure to work under Bill's tutelage for 3 years before I left to go to medical school. A man I have never forgotten.A man who even at work humbly lived his faith. God continue to bless you all.

Isabel, my love and prayers certainly go out to you, Greg, Keith and Jane and families at this time- I have known Bill all of his life and he liked to joke that I " baby sat" him sometimes and have know you and the family since you married Bill and moved to Saint John those 62 years ago - he was certainly Faithful to his Lord and stood by his beliefs on many occasions and at all times . He was very knowable, in so many things. An employee at N. B.Tel once told me " he was a genius" at his work. I pray Isabel you and I can keep in contact for many years to come as we have been. I have gone through what you will have to go through now but the Lord is Faithful and will give you the strength you will need.
