Vera Sheehan

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Catherine “Vera” Sheehan, loving wife of the late Charles Sheehan, which occurred on Wednesday August 17, 2016 at the Oromocto Hospital. Vera was born in 1934 in Saint John.  She loved spending time with her family and was very devoted to her grandchildren.  Vera enjoyed many bingo nights with her dear friends Amy, Winnie, Fran and the late Dot. She is survived by her sons Mike, Tim and Doug (Shelly) Sheehan all of Saint John; daughter Helen (Hayward) Brewer of Waasis; many grandchildren including those closest to her, Tanisha, Dj, Courtney, Haley, Michael Jr. and Jessica; many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and the love of her life, her cat Shadow. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons Charles and William, daughters Gail and Stella and grandchildren Kayla, Mason and Vera Ann.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland (646-2424) on Friday August 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday August 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Society or the charity of one’s choice.
