Sandra Ann Stafford

Sandra Ann Stafford of Saint John passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John, June of 1947 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (McDevitt) Williams. Sandra was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  In her earlier days she worked as a sales representative for MRA’s Department Store and Fundy Cable. Sandra was a former active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church; she enjoyed bowling, bingo, reading, poetry, drawing and knitting.  Sandra is survived by her loving husband Edward Stafford of Saint John,  children; David Scott (Leslie) Doyle of Whitehorse, YK, Sherry Dawn Beshara (Kevin) of Saint John and Amanda Erin McEvoy of Quispamsis, step-children Kevin Michael Stafford of Calgary, AB and Joan Marie Woods (Jerry) of Calgary, AB, brothers Henry of BC, Robert of PEI, Donald (Barb) of Napeen, ON, Frederick of St. Catherine’s, ON and John; sister Theresa Goss of Saint John, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Sandra was predeceased by brothers Gerald, Ronald and George and sisters Clara Bennett and Marie Rutton.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday May 20th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Memorial mass will be held from St. Pius X Catholic Church, 316 Somerset Street,  on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in Sandra’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Lung Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
