It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Anna “Sandra” Ford which occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 with her family by her side. Born 1946, in PEI, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Millicent (Gallant) Jeffries. Sandra worked as a Seamstress throughout her career. Family was the single most important element to her life.
Sandra is survived by her loving and devoted husband Wendall of 55 years; son John Wendall (Mae) of Pictou, NS; daughter Pam Peacock (Bill) of Garnett Settlement; brother Michael Jeffries (Karen) of Gardner Creek; sisters Dianne Jeffries, Cindy Jeffries, Nellie Black all of Saint John; grandchildren Wendy Ford, Will Peacock, Devon Ford, Melissa Robinson; great grandchildren Ashley, John, Martha Grace; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her infant son Raymond Christopher and sister Willa Jeffries.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, January 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, January 25th at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
