Just found the site! Robert was a terrific friend from when we first met in Chicago for community organizing. Bob baptized our daughter Suzanne 45 years ago in our apartment in Toronto. His spirit was a gift to all of us. Greetings of peace to Carol Ann

It does appear that what I wrote yesterday made it to the web site, so this may be a repeat. I know It has been many years since we have been in touch and much has happened over that time. I first met Robert about 25 years ago through his work with Amnesty International in Saint John. He was always someone who had time to defend human rights, to oppose war, hunger, and poverty. Let's celebrate his long and productive life.

Deeply saddened to hear this news about Robert. I worked with Robert for many years at the Department of Social Development. He was a kind and caring man and had a great sense of humor. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Fundy Funeral Home and I used to see him often riding through town on his bicycle. To Robert's family....my sincere sympathy on your loss.

So very sorry about the loss of your father. We in the family feel the loss too as he has always been a mainstay in the family. We could count on him to be there for us when we needed him in times of happiness and in times of sorrow. Sad note to our day on this news. Our prayers are with you all during this time. Robert taught me to make bread in 1982 which I still do and think of him often as I make it. He knew so well the meaning of bread for this life and the life to come. He is at that banquet now enjoying the fruit of his life, so well spent. God bless him and you all. Much love, Jim and Wendy

To Robert's Family: Your Dad was one truly one of a kind when I first encountered him after the Christopher's Course than again after that during The courses Sister Rita Duncan was offering in Bereavement Than 16 years ago we met again this time at Stone Church as New Dawn Players were getting ready to welcome Jean Vanier to town and your Dad was playing multi tasking parts as I was and when he called my house it wasn't a call it was a song to tell me they were meeting sure going to miss you But Jesus saw seen getting tired and "COME FOLLOW ME" RIP
