Kimberly Diane (Van Buskirk) Johnston

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Kimberly Diane (Van Buskirk) Johnston at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by her loving family on January 16, 2018.  Kimberly was born on August 24, 1954 to the late Harold and Gladys (Griffen) Van Buskirk. 

 
Kim worked as a Data Entry Clerk with RBC previous to having children, when she then devoted her life to raising her family.    She was very involved with her family and when she became a grandmother it was like her true purpose was revealed.  She was very active within the Saint John Deaf and Hard of Hearing Society within Saint John and received great pleasure from being able to assist those in her community who needed help.  She was very devoted to her family and she will be forever missed.  
 
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Wayne Johnston of Saint John; daughter Tanya (Aaron Gangji) of Ontario, son Craig of Saint John, three grandchildren; Joelle, Hudson and Aliyah, brother Michael, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and her good friend Steven.  Kim was predeceased by her parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (646-2424).  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9:30-11:00am with a funeral service to immediately follow from the former St. Joachims Parish (603 Loch Lomond Road).  In lieu of flowers, Kim’s family requests memorial donations made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
