To Karens family we are all very sad to hear of karen passing. I meet karen through my brother. She was really to the point an stood her ground when speaking to her. Not to sure she was going to fit well as we all were out spoken as well. But she charmed us all, an fit right in to all those family events an dinners. I liked Karen alot an will miss her as, will we all RIP. Karen knowing you will impress the heavens as much as you did on earth

My deepest sympathy for Karen's family and my Canadian cousins. Karen visited our families in Boston many times. She and Nancy traveled to Boston for holidays and family events. She was always cheery with a smile. Life can be just too unfair.

I am so very sorry to learn of Karens passing. Its's been a few years since I worked alongside Karen on the front counter at Canada Post. Karen knew how to work the front counter. She was extremely efficient at her job and she expected the same level of dedication from her coworkers. If I could say anything it would be how hard a worker Karen really was. She was committed to her job and her love for her pets was clearly evident. She wasnt one to allow herself to be pushed around at work. And she wasnt afraid to go toe to toe with the "boss". Even though she put on a tough exterior Karen was no different than any of us. She had a kind heart if you took the time to get to know her She had her dreams and share of disappointments. Like all of us. All that matters is that Karen was a really good person. While she will be fondly remembered and missed. The pain and suffering she endured from the cancer is over, and she is no longer hurting. To Karens family and friends please accept my deepest sympathy.

Karen and I went to Cuba for the CUPW Union several years ago and we were in a disastrous hurricane, Karen was so worried about the Cubans that she spent most of the trip 'cleaning up' the mess the hurricane left - she will be remembered for her BIG heart.
