Hi Wally. We just received the news about your mom. Please accept our condolences, also. You just cannot put into a few words a proper expression of the goodness Joy is known for. She was so welcoming to everyone. No denying how much this stings, buddy, but you know what our dear Father, Jehovah, guarantees to those who love Him. We're thinking of you. Love, Tony and Ann Mercia

I am so sorry to read of your mother's passing. The picture on her obituary resembles my older sister Joyce. I am the last surviving member of your mom's brother Alvin. Carol

Dear Wally:
A chapter has certainly ended for you and your family. But we are all left with a legend that we will talk about and remember … maybe with a sigh or a tear, but definitely with a smile.
I picked up the story of Joy, as you know, almost 40 years ago when I first met you both. Her devotion to Jehovah was unmistakable, along with her kindness. What I remember now and admire most from those days, beyond her beautiful smile, was her devotion to caring for her mother. It’s not an easy task, as I came to learn decades later; but Joy’s attitude was amazing and she even managed to open your home to us all for book studies and service.
And now, Dear Wally, I have to say how proud I am of YOU, for YOUR years of sticking with your mom (Numbers 6:24-26). There are so many things you could have done with your life but you chose the good portion … truly. I admire that and I hope it will be a comfort in the months and years that pass … until that wonderful time when Jehovah calls her, and we join you in welcoming her back.

Dear Wally; You already know how I felt about your mom. She was a wonderful, loving person, faithful and loyal to her God, Jehovah until the end of her life. While alive, she set the finest example of being faithful in actions as well as words , serving a life of example we should all strive to follow. I will miss her, Wally, I loved her dearly, and you know you can call me for anything you might need. See you at the service Wednesday. Your older sister, Dale.

Dear Family of Joy Peacock, I noticed her obituary while doing service this morning. What a wonderful record of service to Jehovah. I love the picture you used of her it will no doubt be what she will look like in Jehovah's future paradise. May your fond memories and Jehovah's promises heal the pain that losing a loved one in this system causes. Your Sister Marilyn Ens.
