I am speechless, lost in words and can't stop these tears, that are fueled by sadness and love! Never in my life was I so proud, glad and full of joy to work under a person!
I came into his kitchen a child, and a stranger, know nothing about the world, hells I couldn't even boil eggs! He got me my job back, fought through hell for us as staff, treated me and my friends like his kids!
Was patient, kind, funny, sarcastic, straight as an arrow about his feelings, full of life, he was the hippie who never grow out of it, and didn't let the world change him!
I feel like I have lost a father which was my best friend, I seen him last week, I didn't even tell him I loved him! I think he knows that, I just don't think he knows much! Couldn't even make it the funeral for closure and I don't think I will ever get that closure!

My thoughts are with you. Dave was such a kind and thoughtful person. I went to school with Dave and in more recent years he called me often to send flowers to Yvette. And I will never forget a Christmas he was home and he stopped into the flower shop to give me a tin full of delicious cookies! Such a sweetie. He will be missed. Sending my sincere condolences.

We all have had you in our thoughts and prayers in these difficult days.
Bill - It was great that I got to see Dave at Lacey and Mike's wedding and sit around and chat for a bit. As we chatted him and I laughed about many things that happened some 20 years earlier.
Instead of flowers our family is going to "pay it forward" and create home made "Get Well" cards with a simple message and hand them out at the children's hospital for people to give to their kids in David's memory, we thought that this would put a smile on the face of children and that would be something that David always did for people.

We are both sad to learn of David'a untimely death. Although we did not have the opportunity to know David well, we were certainty the recipients of his kindness both when my mother, Jennie Miller was in hospital and later, when we were preparing her home for sale, and David came to help.
