Another angel in Heaven.
Joe was a very respected friend to my sons and I.  We all worked at the RMH Call centre together. Joe was a hard working supervisor. There are times when Joe with his very deep voice, would get up at the Centre Pod and say these famous words: "LET''''S GET READY TO RUMBLE." then he would smile and go right back to work.  Those famous words would start everyone''''s day with a smile.  I will never forget those words.  Joe will be missed by all.
To Joe''''s family:  May your hearts heal in this time of sorrow.  We are so sorry for your loss. God Bless each and everyone of you.

First I want to send my thoughts and prayers to Joe''s family and friends. I have worked with Joe since the start. He was in Class 1 and we were in class 2 and the competition was on to see who was the best. Of course with Joe it was his class,,,even though we all disagreed. Over the years we have had many long talks about life...work and family. It never mattered what he was doing..he always had time for a quick chat or if it needed to be longer he would arrange time later in his day.He never forgot you and always realized what was important. His passion for life and his job was always very apparant.I remember when our friend Gale got sick and our talks. There were many days that I was glad that he was there as he was very understanding of what I was going threw and I also knew how hard it was for him. I want his family to know that I feel that God has another angel up there that will be a great asset to him. I know in my heart that he and Gale will meet once again and they will always be watching over all of us.God Bless and let him help you threw this as he is strong and always there when needed. I will miss you so much and it hurts to know that you have left us so suddenly and I will not see you again but you will always be in my heart and memories. RIP Joe..a great boss...confidant anf friend.

We were surprised and saddened to hear of Joe''s sudden passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was "Joey''s" youth leader many years ago at First Bible Baptist Church. I played ball hockey and ice hockey with him for several years. There was no one more excited when he scored than Joe himself ... and he did it often!
I know as a young man, Joe professed faith in Christ. May that same Christ bring healing and comfort to his loved ones. Praying for you, Gladys and Ray.

I had the great pleasure of working with Joe both at Clientlogic and then again at Sykes.

All words that come to mind fall short in describing what an incredible presence he was.  Joe was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word, always ready with a smile, and an ironic sense of humour that always left you in 'pause' wondering if it was intended (it surely was!).

I want to send my deepest and most sincere condolences to his wife, son, and parents.

I was shocked, as were many others, entering work this morning. I''ve known Joe for several years through work (at RMH/NCO and ICT/Sykes). We weren''t actually "friends", he was one of the management and at first I assumed I was just another employee to him, but not to Joe, he always called me by name and I was very impressed by that. I think Joe knew everyone''s name. All day I kept expecting to see him walking down the hall from his office greeting everyone with a smile and a nod "good morning" but each time I would be saddened by reality.  I always enjoyed adding something humerous to my PEP reports to my supervisor because I knew Joe would be reading it and I knew he''d get a chuckle out of it. I''m going to miss that. Sykes will NOT be the same without Joe. He was a really great guy. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.     -Darlene Woodley

I arrived to work this morning, as a Customer Service Representative employee @ Sykes, to find alot of my co-workers upset, crying. I thought maybe someone had been fired!!! Little did I know that one of our beloved had actually passed on! When I was told the unfortunate news, my heart broke. I honestly didn't have the opportunity to get to know Joe very well, and it hurts me now to say that, but from what I knew and heard of him, I can honestly tell that he was a kind & gentle person, a man whom was well admired. I've suffered many of my own losses, so can relate fully to your loss as Joe's family/friends. And even though I didn't know him well, I can honestly say that his presence for me at work will be greatly missed and my heart is honestly broken, for him, and for his loved ones. May you find strength in God's love & in that of your family & friends around you. God Bless!!!

My deepest condolences to Joe''s family (especially his mother Gladys, father Raymond and his son, Ryan) and fellow friends, of which I know he had many, and for good reason, because he was one of the most selfless and generous friends a person could ever have. I knew Joe for nearly 25 years. After we first met in 1988 with my joining his ball-hockey club, Joe and I became fast friends, and then became close friends who hung-out together a lot, particularly during the 90s. I''ve been living in Toronto for the better part of the last 15 years, so I only saw Joe, infrequently, over the ensuing years, but when we DID get a chance to see each other, whenever I visited Saint John, it was always SO GREAT to see him. I consider him one of the best friends I EVER had, and I am so profoundly saddened by his sudden passing. I greatly regret that I will be unable to attend his funeral due to circumstances, unfortuanately, beyond my control at present. Though I realize that I SHOULD be there, I promise I WILL be there in spirit. Joe will always remain in my heart (no matter how damaged it is now upon hearing of his passing) and in my fond memories of him. Rest in peace, my Brother...

Your eternal friend and team-mate,

The the Family of

Today I learned of the unfortunate and untimely death of your loved one Joe and a true well rounded friend and fellow co-worker. There are no words to describe the utter grief that I am feeling right now, and I cannot possibly imagine the shock and sorrow that has been thrust on your family as well.

I will always remember fondly the experiences Joe and I had as many of his colleagues  together. It is true that he was taken from you way too soon, and I think you share my sentiment that it feels a little unfair that such a smart and talented young man's life has ended with so much living left to do. It is my firm belief that bad things that happen to good people serve a greater good, and Joe's sudden passing will, I believe, teach us all something if we only let ourselves be taught. Right now, we all are trudging through the mourning process, but with support from his many friends and family, I think we can find ourselves whole again during this difficult time for your family. Please accept my sincerest condolences in the loss of your loved one as I know he will be greatly missed by many.

Yours in mutual grief,

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know Joe through a previous job.  He was a great man with a strong love for his family and of course, the Canadians.  My deepest sympathy go out to the family at this time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was the best boss I have ever had, his compassion and wisdom was by far the best thing I have ever witnessed in a supervisor.  He will be sadly missed by all of us at work. Heaven has gained another angel.

My deepest sympathies to the McGrath family. Joe was one of a kind, a great coworker, Friend, and one of the best people I have known. While his loss is tragic, I am thankful to have had the privilege to call him my friend.
