Joseph William Mallette

Joseph William, Mallette, After a brief illness at The Saint John Regional Hospital on March 6, 1998, Joseph William of Ellerdale Street passed away. Born in Saint John, son of the late Joseph and Emily (Gauvin) Mallette, husband of Marguerite (Breau) Mallette. He had retired from Texaco after 31 years as a consignee and was a veteran of World War 11. He had been A MEMBER Jervis Bay Memorial Legion RCL # 53, East Saint John Seniors and the Senior Bowling League (East); Nations Campers and Hikers Association of Glooscap Trailor Club and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Peter and his wife Louise, of Ottawa, three daughters, Loretta Goguen and her husband Jackie of Saint John, Joanne Arsenault and her husband Ronald of Saint John, and Catherine, Mrs. Richard Lunney, of Riverview, a brother-in-law Father Paul Breau, three sisters-in-law Sister Catherine Breau of Moncton, Lorette LeTourneau of Athabaska, PQ, and Vivian Mallette of Saint John, seven grandchildren, John and Sara Jane Lunney, Karen Leonard, Sarah Mallette, Scott Goguen, Jamie and Stephanie Arsenault as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Father Alfred Mallette, Leo and Arthur Louis and Leonard and two sisters Loretta and Bernadette Mallette and a son-in-law Richard Lunney.



Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home (646-2424). Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 am from St. John The Baptist, with interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome at Fundy Saturday and Sunday 2- 4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Fundy Funeral Home. A Royal Canadian Legion District Service will be held at 7 p.m.Sunday evening. Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation
