I had the privileged to have met Jim January 31, 2015. Ellen and I went snowmobiling that day with his brother Russel (Rusty). Jim had parked beside me and I had no idea who he was until I was introduced to him be Rusty. We had a great day out on the trails.
I sat beside him at lunch at Adair's Lodge. We had a great conversation about snowmobiling and the wonderful trail system the volunteers have made available for us all to enjoy.
Ellen and I were deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Kirkpatrick family.
From reading the messages, Jim was loved by many.
So sorry for your loss...

It is with deepest sympathy I offer my condolences to Jim’s family and friends. Jim lived a fulfilling life. He did what he loved and welcomed those who shared his passions of hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and ATVing into his world. His heart was kind. His actions and words were filled with integrity. Our lives are richer for having Jim with us.
Timothy has shared with me a beautiful picture of Jim fishing at Big Salmon River and it makes me believe that Jim’s soul has joined others along the banks of that great fishing river above.

Never easy to say goodbye to someone but at least he will be a peace & will keep watch over us in the outdoor dept ha ha!!! I'm sure he will be missed by all. From my family to yours take care

I am so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I share in your grief and am thinking of you all at this difficult time. Hold dear in your hearts the special times and memories you shared over the years. I remember fondly the fun times all of the kids from Loch Lomond would get to for a ball game, pond hockey or just hanging out at your parents house. He was great brother, son, father and friend.
