Having just read the notice in the newspaper, I send my condolences to Mrs. Magee, my friends Hugh and Evelyn, and all the family. As a neighbour here in Champlain Heights, when the opportunity arose, it was a delight to talk with your dad of the shared love we both have of Scotland, and to share the news of Hugh and Evelyn. I was very saddened to see that Hugh had passed away. I remember Hugh and Molly visiting Daddy & Mammy (Charlie & Helen) or we would visit when you lived in Champlain Heights. So sad to hear of Hugh's passing. I knew Hugh through my work with JD Irving Ltd during the 80s and 90s and always enjoyed our conversations and meetings. A real gentleman with a great since of humour and a mentor to me when in the shipyard. A real loss to all who knew him.
