Condolences to my Hayward cousins. Dodie was the best & I will miss our visits & phone conversations. I have memories as a child of her piling all of us into the back of the red pick-up, & heading to Hamond River for the day to swim in that freezing water! Why she would want "extra kids" is a mystery but she never seemed to mind. My mother always said if you need a favor, ask the busiest person you know & that was Dodie for she always found time to lend a helping hand. So, my trips "home" will never feel the same without seeing your smiling face, I miss you Dodie, Love Kathy

To all the Hayward family, during my ministry 95-03 I had many opportunities to visit Dodie at her home and it was always a great joy. She was always so pleasant. Her life was one of giving and thinking of others. Please accept our condolences and may God bless you all at this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have such fond memories of your mom's quick wit, no matter how many kids were there, you were always part of the family and treated as such. She actually taught me to peel potatoes, trust me when I was there had lots of practice. Love you all sending hugs.

How can you expect this passing and still have it hit you between the eyes? How sorry I am for all your loss. My aunt Dodie scolded me for not washing behind my ears when I was but a wee child. Since , I have gained total respect, love and admiration for this lady that gave of herself to so very many people, children, foster children and anyone that needed a shoulder. A wonderful steadfast and honourable wife to my uncle Ken and great friend to my mother and father , Russel and Helen Hayward. I will forever keep her in my memory.
I know she is with her loving husband once again and greeting all those hat have gone before her. May she rest in peace and may her family of so, so many take pride and solace in her earthly accomplishments and cherish her memories. God bless.

What a beautiful Lady Dodie was. She always had a smile on her face and a joke on her tongue. Always kind and loving. She knit me a beautiful sweater as a surprize, which I wear all the time, and always think of her every time I wear it. Dave was always kept cozy in the winter with her home made mitts and hat. Our deepest sympathy to her family. " Heaven has gained a very special angel."
