Elizabeth Pierce

 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Pierce of Millidgeville. Elizabeth passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday August 31, 2016. Elizabeth was born in Saint John, November 19, 1935. She was the daughter to the late Urben and Dolores (Mullaney) Pierce. Elizabeth worked for the Court of Queen’s Bench, as an administrative clerk for the Judges in Saint John for many years, retiring in 1999. She is survived by her nephew who was much like her son Paul Cimonetti (Jayna) of Baltimore, MD; as well as nieces and nephews Tom Cimonetti (Karen Carruthers) of Toronto, ON; Mary Burkins (Jim) of Vero Beach, FL; Anne Bass (David) of England; Mary Schroder (Brian) of Milton, ON; John Pierce (Stephanie) of Vancouver, BC, Carol Ann Rudderham (Andy) of Oakville, ON;  good friends who were much like family, Kevin and Pat Gleason of Toronto, ON and their children; especially Dennis Gleason (Faye) of Quispamsis; Dolores & Frank Arthur and their children Frank, Michele and Gerald;  Danny & Sharon Joyce  and their children Dan, Brad & Christina; her sister-in-law Suzanne Pierce; great nieces and great nephews of both Toronto, Vancouver and the United States. Elizabeth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her only sister Anne Marie Cimonetti and two brothers Rev. Maurice L. Pierce and James Pierce.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By Elizabeth’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 21 Canon Street  on Saturday September 3rd, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Holy Trinity Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
