I am very saddened that Cathy has passed away. I just Googled her to see where she lived. I grew up on Alcock Cres in Gander and always wondered where the Callum's moved. The house she lived in is still called "Callum's House!" "Who is moved in to Callum's House now?", I still ask. Whose house? another will ask, and I'll say "Cathy Callums!" My parents still live in the corner yard on #44. My sister Stephanie was closest to her in age. She was always missed and will always be remembered when I look over and see Callum's House!

I had the great pleasure of working with Cathie many, many years ago at the Canadian Red Cross. I remember interviewing her for the job. The interview lasted over 2 hours and not once did we talk about the job! We had just met, yet spoke as if we had known each other for years. I don't even remember if she had the right qualifications - all I knew was how great she was and how I wanted to work with this girl! Not only did she end up being more than qualified for the job, she was a great inspiration, a breath of fresh air, always happy and always going above and beyond in every aspect. We are all better people for having known her. My heart goes out to Bill Sr. and all of the family at this extremely difficult time.

I trained her during the transition way back in 2005 and she was just a joy to be around and she loved her family and her Team. She was always telling me to stop drinking those diet cokes, the Mother in her. I'll never forget the times growing up with the Burbridge family. Cath was a huge part of my life! I will never forget the day I transitioned from training wheels to 2 wheels, I was flying down Larsen Road and someone was beeping their horn, hooting and hollering, "GO KELLY ANN!", it was Cathie, she was always so encouraging and supportive and treated me like her own child!

I wanted you to know that I thought Cathie was such an amazing person and I truly enjoyed working and interacting with her at Exxon. We always seemed to arrive at the same time in the morning and she always had a big smile on her face and say "Good Morning"...I will miss that. Reg and family. I was both shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Cathie's sudden passing. I can only imagine the pain and sorrow you are feeling at this time.
