To Barb's family and those close to her I am very sorry for your loss. I am the occupational therapist who has had the privilege of working with Barb for 15 years or more. Throughout all that time she always had a smile and a sense of humor. The last time I saw her she was so happy and content that I told her that she made my day. Seeing her happy with her life, helping others and contributing in various ways at The Village and hearing how excited she was with the birth of her grand daughter were some of the things we talked about that day. We hugged that day before I left and I repeated how happy I was to see her doing so well. I am sad that I will not get to see her again. She will be missed by many.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Barb’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Barb was an inspiration to us. We admired all those wonderful qualities that made her the special person that she was. Barb had intelligence, wit, charm and a caring heart that made her such a special friend. We will always be thankful and blessed that we had the opportunity to get to know Barb while at the Villa. She always looked out for our sister just like a mother would. We will cherish her memory for years to come.
She was a great gal and I know our lives will never be the same without her. Heaven must be beautiful right now, as they have a special angel.

Barb, I’m at a loss for words. I can’t believe this happened so soon! I’m so sorry things between us weren’t left on better terms! You’ve been in my life for the last 10-12 years and I’ve got to grow up with your sons and you and it’s just all been so wonderful. I can’t believe I’m typing this right now :’( you had a very big impact on many lives including mine and my fathers! I don’t know where either of us would be without you xx thank you for everything you did for me and my family over the years! I’ll miss you everyday but I know you, my mom, and nanny are definitely all having it out right now! Or maybe things are different on the other side. I’ll see you again someday! As for Evan and Matthew.. I’ll never stop loving them. I’ll be there for them every step of the way and be sure to look out for them as much as I can! We’re family. I love you.

Rick, Mary, and family, we are thinking of you all.

While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. The loss of Barb who has left us at such a youthful age is definitely in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been.

We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy on your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.

I ask for God's blessings on you and your wonderful family. May you find the courage and strength to move forward in peace.
With all our love

Oh Barbie, you left this world way too soon doll.

No matter what was going on in the world, you always had a smile on your face. You were always so happy, always up for another challenge. There wasn't anything that would keep you back. I admired your strength and encouragement.

Since I heard of your passing this morning, I have spent a lot of time reflecting back to when we were neighbors. We had so many laughs, drank way too much tea and coffee. Our children became friends, and you became a forever friend in my heart.

Evan, Matthew, Mom, Dad & family.. So very sorry for your loss. Barb was a wonderful lady, loved everyone and was loved by everyone. I wish I had words to make these next few days easy, but just know that there are a lot of people with you all in spirit, sending so much love to all..
