To the family,
I was so sorry to hear of Barbs passing. I worked with her at NBtel back in the late 70's early 80's. Barb and I were very good friends at work and I visited her house in Grand Bay. She was a wonderful person!
My condolences to her family.

Barb, Thank you for being a great childhood friend and cousin! May flights of angels be with you now.
Kris, Sherri, and David and your family, I am sorry I could not get there to pay my respects to Barb and to you all. I have just had eye surgery, and so am not driving.
May you all have the most wonderful memories of your mother and sister. I was so impressed when I read in the paper a while ago about Barb getting the Governor-General's award! It sounds like it was well-deserved!
Most sincerely, Cousin Carol (Muriel and Dick's daughter), St. Andrews, NB

Dear Kris and Sherri,
I was very saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Barb was a great women and will be missed by all who knew her. What a wonder she was, giving of herself so freely to so many. I knew her as a friend, a parent and tireless volunteer at Inglewood and as former Beaver Leader to my two boys. I hope you are able to take solace in your precious memories and the pride she felt in you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Kris, Sherri and family.
We were sorry to learn of the death of Barb. We have fond memories of her through the Grand Bay Baptist Church and in our community. Barb was an enthusiastic volunteer. She touched the lives of many people. Her positive attitude grew out of her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are grateful that Barb was following the Lord Jesus, the one who said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever follows me though they die, yet shall they live." John 11:25 We are praying for you.

I was so sorry to read of Barb's passing. We first met in my early years at NBTel (late 60's) and Barb was such an uplifting person to be around. Her smile, her laugh and wonderful sense of humour, so very sincere, a joy to know. Fast forward to 2008 or 9 -- my husband & I were wintering in Florida, same park as a close friend of Barb's, and Barb appeared for a winter visit. It was as if time stood still -- same smile, sense of humour, sincerity and so much fun to meet up with her again. So grateful for that opportunity -- she is pain-free and laughing with God's angels. Our sincere sympathy to her family, it is so difficult to part with a loved one, but you have so many wonderful memories to shine through your tears.

So many happy childhood memories of Barb, and the fun times we spent with our Day cousins in their warm and welcoming farmhouse; and of connections again over the years at our large family gatherings - always enjoyable times together. I have always admired Barb for her easy, caring ways and for the awards she received and richly deserved. She will be such a loss to the family, and to our community.
With love and sympathy, Janice

Dear Sherri, Kris and family members,
How sad to see that dear Barb had passed away. I know how hard she fought and how bravely she endured her constant pain. She love her family beyond description and was always quick to share a story about how her kids and grandkids were doing. I know my kids loved her beyond belief during their time in Beavers, all the great activities and adventures she organized will not be forgotten. Thank you for sharing this wonderful lady with the community. May you find solace and strength in the coming days as you come to realize how many people held your mom, nanny, sister and friend in such high regard.

Dear Kris, Sherri and extended family of Barb Day-Phillips.

Having to say "Good Bye" to ones Mom is not an easy thing. Cherish the memories you have shared together and hold them close. May they now become your most valued treasures.

Barb & I met September of 1959 in grade 9 at SJVS and hung out together until I graduated in 1962. Following her graduation in 1963 we continued to keep in touch and she was Maid of honour at my wedding in 1964.

Since I am from the Hampton & Norton area we seldom saw each other but I did follow her community work when her picture would be in the papers and her awards. I had hoped to take my Brides Maid & her out for lunch on my 50th anniversary, Nov of 2014, however, she had other commitments and could not come the day we had arranged so we agreed to get together at a later date. Later never came and time went by, and now it is too late. I have nothing but the greatest memories of your mom. Sincere condolences, Sincerely, Louise
