Valerie Langille

It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Valerie Ann Langille on Thursday October 20, 2016 at Embassy Hall, Shannex. Loving wife of 58 years to Norman Langille, born 1934 in Saint John, Valerie was the daughter of the late Donald and Annie (Hicks) Bustin. In her earlier years Val was employed as a secretary for Chittick’s Ready Mixed Concrete and later New Directions. She loved to help others, volunteering at the Clothing Depot and with the deaf. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed other interests including bowling, gardening and many crafts. Val was a lifetime member of Silver Falls United Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. In addition to her husband Norman, she is survived by her children: Tanya (Don) Dickson of Quispamsis and Terry (Heather) Langille of Saint John; brother Creighton (Veneita) Bustin of Saint John, sisters Joan (John) Donald of Browns Flat, June Bustin of Saint John, Donna Gaudet and Sharon Foster both of NS; brother-in-law Dave (Valerie) Langille, sisters-in-law Beverly (Gord) Langille, Barb Leblanc, Sharon Guitard, and Valerie (Wally) Smith; grandchildren Erica and Tyler Dickson, and Bree Langille; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Myrna Chittick, sister-in-law Dale Langille, brothers-in-law Gordon Chittick, Allen Bustin, Gordon Gaudet, James Langille, Joe Leblanc and Joe Guitard. 

Visitation is at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Sunday October 23, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Silver Falls United Church on Monday October 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens for family only.  A special thank you to ‎caregiver Tammy (Kevin) Comeau, the staff at the SJRH ‎and Embassy Hall for their wonderful, compassionate care. Donations to the Silver Falls United Church or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
