Shirley Ann Bridges

It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected death of Shirley Ann Bridges, loving wife of the late Alfred Bridges, which occurred on Tuesday July 26, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1936 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George and Dora (Craft) Thibodeau. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved old movies, country music, knitting, dancing, scratch tickets and playing bingo. She is survived by her daughter Sherri (Leo Surette) Bridges; son John (Bonnie); grandsons Matthew and Evan and great-grandson Brayden; sister Janet Duplessis (Paul Gillespie). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Alfred; brothers Bernard, Leo, George and Kenneth and sisters Dorothy Wilson, Betty Murray and Joy Curwin. Her family takes comfort in knowing she has gone to rest in the arms of her loving husband Alfred.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Friday July 29, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 10 a.m.
