Marlene June Brown

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Marlene June Brown on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  She was born in Yarmouth, NS on August 8, 1963 to Barbara (Smith) and the late Harry “Junior” Brown. 

Marlene had a larger than life personality and loved to get people going.  She could make anyone laugh and was more than willing to help anyone.  She had a get up and go attitude and just loved to go on adventures – even just a drive to Rockwood Park made her day, because she was out and about.  Marlene was loyal, and truly devoted to her family.  Her family meant everything to her.  Her children and her grandchildren lit up her life and put a sparkle in her eyes.  She was a very special lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marlene will be deeply missed by her loved ones; mother Barbara, spouse Mary Gillet, 2 sons; Khouri (Chandal) Brown and Skylor Brown-Gillet, 3 daughters; Leanna (Ken Colwell) Brown, Naomi (Bryston) Gillet-Cawley and Latoya (Sheldon) Grant, 7 grandchildren; Malaki, Chloe, Tyson, Malik, Jada, Aaliyah and Avery, brother Mark Brown and sister Kim Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.   Along with her father, Marlene was predeceased by her brothers Tony Eatmon and Terry Justason.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at 11am from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 18, 2017.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Autism Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
