Ernest Frederick Boucher

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Ernest Frederick Boucher, loving husband of 44 years to Dorina (LeBlanc) Boucher, which occurred on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Born 1937 in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Adelard and Lena (Cormier) Boucher. Ernest was a 26 year Veteran of the Army and the National Guard. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, horseshoes, Western movies and coaching youth hockey for many years in Gardner, MA. He was an avid hockey fan cheering for whoever the winning team was. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Dorina, he will be greatly missed by his step-children Paul (Maria) Dube, Karen (Chester) Welch both of Gardner, MA and James Dube of Musquash; grandchildren Jackie (Matthew), Randy (fiancé Shaun Renee), Jodi (Matt), Shaun, Kyle, Danielle, Jéan Paul and Gabriella; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Joseph, David, Collin, Adrianna and Addison; sisters Melda, Theresa (Arthur) and Victoreen (Tim) all of Rexton; several nieces and nephews and one special nephew Joe; special godchild Beth and canine companion Sheeba. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-son John; brothers Paul, Emery, Joseph, Harvey, Allison and Aurel; sisters Rose, Bertha, Violet, Melina, Melda and Susan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) and Boucher Funeral Home, Gardner MA. Services will be held in the Veterans Cemetery, Winchendon, MA at a later date.  Donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of one’s choice.
