With heavy hearts, the family of Bruce Crockett announces his passing, which occurred on Thursday, November 17th, 2016, at the Loch Lomond Village. Bruce was born in Saint John on February 15, 1936; a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Press) Crockett, and the loving husband of the late Margaret (Creamer) Crockett. Bruce started worked at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery in 1958, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed horse racing, darts, hockey, and baseball. Bruce is survived by his son Andrew of Kingston, daughter Sharon Nason (Steven) of Quispamsis, grandchildren Scott (Robyn) and Katie, and the lights of his life, his great-grandchildren Abbey, Colton, and Anna. Bruce is also fondly remembered by his childhood friend, Eugene Bradley (Shirley), as well as several nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Beth Dexter. Along with his wife and parents, Bruce was pre-deceased by his brothers James and Henry, and a sister, Catherine. Bruce’s family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the Loch Lomond Village, especially to Bruce’s ‘family’ on Maple House for their extraordinary love, care, and patience; he truly felt they were family. In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). Online condolences may be placed at www.fundyfuneralhome.com
