Allen W. Hamilton

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Allen Wayne Hamilton which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016.  Born 1950, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Leo and Marjorie “Mickey” Hamilton.  Allen worked as a Painter for many years.  He enjoyed playing darts and shuffleboard.  He was a former member of Legion Branch #2 and was an avid Pink Floyd fan. 

Allen will be sadly missed by his daughters Melissa Hamilton (Liz) of Rothesay, NB, Paula Donovan (Tim) of Quispamsis, NB; step-daughters Krista Hope (Ernie) of Upperton, NB, Jennifer Cormier of Saint John; brothers Danny Hamilton of Saint John, Patrick Hamilton (Barb) of Calgary, AB, James Hamilton (Debbie) of Saint John; sister Phyllis Hamilton (Bev) of Sussex; grandchildren Kobe, Noah, Ashleigh, Josh, Sarah, Taylor and Morgan; great-granddaughter Jordyn;  his beloved dog Blacky; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents, Allen was predeceased by his wife Betty. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Allen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in Allen’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
