William "Bill" Leonard Robinson

With heavy hearts, the family of Bill Robinson announces his passing, which occurred on July 14th, 2021. Bill was born in Saint John on August 1st, 1951; a son of the late Russell and Marjorie (Sunderland) Robinson. An avid reader, Bill had a genuine thirst for knowledge; he loved science and meteorology, and always enjoyed going for a drive, either in his car, or on his scooter. Bill worked several jobs during his lifetime; however, his most coveted position was working as a personal care worker. He never missed an opportunity to share special occasions with his family and was sure to be present for every large family meal. He was also particularly fond of reptiles, of which he owned many throughout his life. Everyone close to Bill will look back fondly on the tales of his snakes & exotic pets. Bill was a very adventurous man who loved travelling, visiting various destinations across Canada and the USA, and he also backpacked across Europe. His trip to China was a highlight for him, and his bucket list included a trip to Hawaii and Australia. Thanks to his extensive travelling, Bill was a very worldly individual & always had plenty of stories to share. 

Celebrating his life is his sister, Dianne (Robert) Maloney, brother Peter Robinson, nieces Jennifer Robinson, Sarah MacMillan (Bruce), nephews David Maloney (Jennifer), Patrick Maloney (Trisha), and Taylor Robinson, his great nephews Ephraim, William, and Leonard, his great niece Ivy, and several extended family members. Along with his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by a brother, David. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John. In keeping with Bill’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the NB Heart Centre, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
