William James Smallman

It is with heavy hearts that the family of William James Smallman announces his passing, which occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 10, 1942, in Summerside, PEI, James will be remembered as a loving husband, family member, and friend.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Smallman; his sisters-in-law Heather Smallman and Gwen Hamilton; brother-in-law Wilfred Hatfield; his cherished adopted grandchildren Jayla, Kaylin, Ava, and Xander; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brothers John and George, and a sister-in-law.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the first responders, the Emergency Department team, and the caring staff of 4CN for their professionalism, compassion, and support.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, 506-646-2424. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are warmly invited to share in fellowship and refreshments immediately following the service in the reception hall.
