William Norman Hazelwood

It is with heavy hearts that the family of William “Billy” Norman Hazelwood announce his peaceful passing on Friday September 23, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto, Ontario in February of 1956, he was the son of Katherine (Strayhorn) and the late William D. (Bill) Hazelwood.

Billy drove cab for many years. He had a passion for anything nautical especially boats; he enjoyed board games, playing cards, mainly cribbage, and spending time with his feline companion Lynx.

Billy will be deeply missed by his son Alex (Jessica) Hazelwood; aunt Dorothy Dickson; sisters Faith (Sherman) Holland and Cheryl Tobias-Hayes; brother Mike (Carol Ann) Tobias; daughter Tina James (Mark Ganong); several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of 4CN at the Regional Hospital for making Billy’s final days comfortable.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 4-8p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Lung Association.
