Wilfred John Warner

It is with heavy hearts the family of Wilfred John Warner, of Quispamsis, announces his peaceful passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Born on May 2, 1970 in Sydney, NS he is the son of James and Brenda (Arsenault) Warner.

Wil worked as a wrapper operator for Irving Paper for over 25 years. He was a devoted foster parent for many years. He loved the outdoors especially kayaking, traveling, motorcycling and was an avid reader.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving partner Leanne Cochrane; son Jeffrey Bailey (Paula Shonaman) of Quispamsis; step-son Tyson Cochrane-Wilcox of Quispamsis; brother Todd Warner (Kimberly) of Sydney, NS; sister Tammy Warner (Mark Sampson) of Sydney, NS; nieces Shelby Warner and Kennedy Carrigan-Warner (Jeanie Hynes) and nephew Colton Carrigan-Warner (Marianne Toomey); and several cousins and many friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses on Palliative Care Unit at Saint John Regional Hospital, Dr. Fellows, Dr. Wildish, Dr. Love, Dr. Grey and Pastor Pam Driedger for their compassion and care. A special thank you to his friends and colleagues for a lifetime of friendship and support.

Due to current events, there will be no visitations. A service will be held at a later date. Remembrances in memory of Will may be made the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
