With love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Wendy Christine Miller on Friday, May 14, 2026, in Campobello NB at the age of 65. Born on December 14, 1960, in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of the late John Albert Miller and Shirley Alleyne Miller. Besides her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her stepmother Sharon Rose Miller, and sister Cindy MacFarland.
Wendy is survived by her son, Michael Matthew Slade; sisters, Kari Miller (Chris) of Clifton Royal, NB and Nicole (Russell) Miller of Pembrook, ON; aunt, Pearl Carson (Bruce); nieces, Tammy Miller, Jodi Moore, Monique MacFarland, Kimberley McNally and Stephanie March; nephews Christopher Moore, Ryan Thurlow and Dylan Thurlow; as well as several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
As a young woman, Wendy was talented at sewing, loved long walks in nature, and enjoyed listening to and singing along to country music. She always loved children and graciously passed this love down to her son.
Wendy was always known as a Girlie Girl. The staff and her family affectionately shared many memories, about her love of being pampered.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Campobello Lodge for their care and support. Even with Wendy’s declining health, she remained a fighter, warding off numerous infections and outbreaks including Covid-19 to become the longest resident of the lodge. This afforded her the most beautiful view of Friar’s Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery (NB-845, Clifton Royal) beginning at 2:00 PM. Directly following the burial, a reception in Wendy’s honour will be held at the Parish Hall (3946 Route 845 in Kingston NB).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kingston Peninsula Volunteer Fire Department, the Children’s Wish Foundation or charity of donor’s choice. To leave online condolences please visit Fundy Funeral Home
