With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Harold Boyd “Wayne” Morehouse, born September 5, 1942, who passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Wayne retired from the Irving Oil Refinery after many dedicated years of service. He was a man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures; time spent hunting and telling hunting stories, days at the camp, a cup of tea, and a slice of apple pie. He valued hard work, loyalty, and above all, his family.
Wayne shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Elsie. He will be deeply missed by his sons Scott (Lucie Prevost) and Brian (Maria); and his cherished grandchildren: Parker, Griffin, and Karson Morehouse, as well as Maxwell and Isaac McGraw. His family brought him great pride and joy.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Lena, his sister Joyce, and daughter-in-law Shirley (nee. McKay) Morehouse.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of 5CS at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their excellent care and support during Wayne’s final days.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424.
