Wayne Hansford Obituary

Wayne was a social butterfly, bringing joy to everyone he met, his infectious smile and laugh was a highlight of each day. Silly tall tales about buses and outings being cancelled.

Daily you could find Wayne enjoying bus rides, fire extinguishers, pop, toy planes, silly mattresses, walks outside with his favorite people. Wayne loved for sirens and police, proudly wearing his police hat everyday, while patrolling the hallways.

Wayne was so deeply special to so many people. He had the ability to make people laugh, sing, play and more importantly… talk them into more walks.

Wayne reminds us, happiness is not always the big things. Sometimes happiness is the sound of a wooden hammer hitting toy pegs, a bus ride on a sunny morning, afternoon walks on a cold day, snuggled up by the door talking to those who came to visit or leaving for the day, or listening to your favourite Roger Whitaker or Shania Twain song.

Wayne reminds us to never underestimate the impact and weight we hold in the lives of others. He will be deeply missed by his family at Centracare.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  A Graveside Service will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery (1650 Manawagonish Road) on Tuesday, December 16th at 2:30 p.m.
