Wanda C. Sweet

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Wanda Clara (Bragdon) Sweet, which occurred on Monday, June 23rd, 2025, at Bobby’s Hospice.  Born on April 26th, 1955, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Leslie and Elsie (Collins) Bragdon.  In her earlier years, Wanda worked at the Irving Golden Ball Gas Bar.  She was a devoted family person and she took great care of her husband Victor over the years.  Wanda loved spending summers in Rexton with her family and friends.  She was kind, caring and had a heart of gold.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Wanda is survived by her loving husband Victor of 45 years; daughter Lesley Bragdon (Kaare) of St. Martins; son Robert Sweet of Garnett Settlement; step-sons Kurt and Keith Sweet of Saint John; sisters Cathy Whalen (Peter) of Saint John, Debra Donaldson (Joey) of Bains Corner; brother-in-law James Henderson of St. Martins; grandchildren Vincent (Taylor), Brandon (Sydnei), Victoria (Nic), Victor, Claressa, Daniel & Payton; step granddaughter Teri; several great- grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces & nephews and friends.  Along with her parents, Wanda was predeceased by her sister Edith.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  In honor of Wanda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Donations in her memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
