Walter Murray Curran

Curran, Walter Murray - The death of Walter, husband of Doris (Gallant) Curran occurred peacefully at his residence in Central Greenwich surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 1,2002. Born in Saint John on March 23, 1927. Walter was the son of the late Harmon and Elizabeth (Henderson) Curran. He was employed for 32 years at the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock in the Paint and Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #87. Survived by one son Michael (Giselle) Saint John, daughters Lynda Curran Scott, Moncton, Susan Curran (Russell), Wendy Thompson (Dwight), Judy Walker (Peter), Mary Curran (Dave) all of Central Greenwich, Joanne St. Croix (Ben), Moncton and Traci Curran, Saint John, son-in-law Ross, Scotland, Ontario, 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers George and Stanley, sister Elizabeth all of Saint John, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son Walter Norman.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John. Visiting Friday, May 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Fundy Funeral Home followed by interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Fundy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
